Pour qui sont pensés ces lits escamotables en 90x190 ?
Le format 90x190 correspond à un couchage une place, idéal pour une chambre d'enfant, une chambre d'amis ou un studio où chaque mètre carré compte. Une fois relevé contre le mur, le lit libère toute la surface au sol et la pièce retrouve sa fonction de bureau, de salle de jeu ou de coin lecture. C'est la solution la plus courante pour offrir un vrai lit là où on ne pourrait pas en laisser un en permanence.
Le matelas reste-t-il en place quand on replie ces modèles ?
Oui, c'est tout l'intérêt du mécanisme. Le matelas est maintenu par une sangle ou une barre de retenue, vous le laissez fait et il se relève avec le sommier. Pas besoin de ranger draps et couette à chaque fois, vous rabattez le lit et la literie reste à l'intérieur du caisson.
Quelle épaisseur de matelas peut-on mettre sur un lit escamotable 90x190 ?
La plupart de ces modèles acceptent un matelas jusqu'à 25 cm d'épaisseur environ, parfois davantage selon le caisson. Pour un usage quotidien, mieux vaut viser un matelas confortable d'au moins 17 cm avec une bonne densité de mousse plutôt qu'un modèle trop fin.
