Rectangular extendable table

This depends on the number of integrated extensions. Most of our models expand from 4 to 6 place settings, and some tables with two extensions can accommodate up to 8 or 10 people when fully extended. The rectangular shape remains the most practical for seating guests along the top and leaving space for dishes in the center.

Two main mechanisms are featured in this selection. Butterfly extensions fold and store under the tabletop, eliminating the need to store them elsewhere. Other models work with separate extensions that are inserted in the center once the tabletop is pulled apart. The sliding mechanism uses rails, sometimes with a synchronized system that opens the table in a single motion.

This is precisely their advantage. When closed, these rectangular tables are often around 90 to 120 cm long and can be tucked against a wall or into a dining nook. The selection includes various finishes. We offer wooden and wood veneer tops for a warm look, ceramic or tempered glass versions that are highly resistant to scratches and heat, and lacquered tops for a more contemporary style. Yes, the extensions are designed in the same material and shade as the main tabletop, so the table maintains a uniform surface when extended. On models with integrated extensions, the joint remains discreet as the mechanism aligns the parts flush. It's best to check the wood grain direction during assembly for a perfect finish.

Allow approximately 60 cm of extra length per extension. A 120 cm closed table often reaches 160 to 180 cm with one extension, and up to 220 cm or more with two. Remember to allow 60 to 70 cm per guest along the tabletop and a passage of about 80 cm around the table for comfortable movement when it is extended.

A slightly damp soft cloth is sufficient for most tabletops. Ceramic and glass surfaces clean effortlessly and tolerate hot dishes, while wood benefits from a suitable product and a trivet as a precaution. Occasionally check that the rails and extension mechanism remain clean so that opening remains fluid. Delivery is assembled, directly to the room of your choice.
