Extendable wooden dining table

It all depends on the model and the number of leaves. Most of our tables go from 4 to 6 place settings when closed to 8, 10 or even 12 guests once the leaves are extended. This is what makes them practical for everyday use for a small family, while still having room when you have guests. The capacity details are indicated on each product sheet.

The advantage of an extendable table is that it remains compact most of the time and only expands when needed. You maintain circulation space in the room day-to-day, then you deploy the leaves only when you have people over. Some models integrate the leaves under the tabletop, so you don't have to store anything elsewhere.

There are two main systems in this selection. Butterfly leaves fold under the tabletop and unfold in a few simple steps without moving anything. Separate leaves are inserted in the center after separating the two parts of the tabletop. In both cases, the wood and slides are designed for repeated use without play.

This varies depending on the model. Many of our tables with integrated leaves store the leaves directly under the tabletop, which avoids having to find space for a panel in a cupboard. Others come with removable leaves to be stored separately. If storage is important to you, this point is specified on each product sheet.

You will find solid wood such as oak or beech, as well as veneered wood tops, which are lighter and more accessible. The shades range from natural light oak to warmer or walnut finishes. Some of the colors and finishes are visible online, and all options can be discovered in-store or by phone.

When closed, many of our models are around 120 to 160 cm long, which is reasonable for a living room or kitchen. With the leaves, they often exceed 200 cm, sometimes more. The width generally remains between 80 and 95 cm. The exact open and closed dimensions are indicated for each reference.

Some of our tables are offered as a set with coordinated chairs, practical for harmonizing the wood finish. Some space-saving models go further with stools or chairs that store under the tabletop. A slightly damp soft cloth is sufficient for routine cleaning, avoiding excess water, which is never wood's friend. Remember to place placemats under hot dishes and quickly wipe up spilled liquids. On oiled solid wood, applying oil once or twice a year helps nourish the top and maintain a beautiful shade.
