A wooden slatted base offers a firmer sleeping comfort than a mesh base. Additionally, the separation in the middle of the base reduces the movements of the other sleeper, thus providing better sleep independence.
A slatted base is recommended for a daily-use sofa bed. It offers:

Is the DOLLY convertible sofa suitable for everyday sleeping?

Yes, the DOLLY is rated for daily use. Its 13 cm thick mattress rests on a grid or slatted base, depending on the chosen configuration, and the mechanism deploys very easily every night.

How comfortable is the DOLLY sofa for seating?

The DOLLY features a deep and extra-soft seat: 66 cm deep, with a height of 43 cm, inviting you to sit low and sink in. The filling is an expanded polyurethane foam with a density of 35 kg/m3, and wide armrests complete the ensemble.

How much space should I allow for the DOLLY sofa?

When closed, the DOLLY measures 221 cm wide by 109 cm deep, for a height of 87 cm. Its resting depth, greater than most convertibles, is a direct result of its 66 cm seat. When open, it extends to 219 cm: allow at least 220 cm of clearance in front of it.

Can the DOLLY sofa be disassembled to access upper floors?

Yes, the DOLLY is disassembled and delivered in three packages: two measuring 32 x 112 x 62 cm and one measuring 165 x 112 x 73 cm, for a total weight of 123 kg. Please inform us of any access constraints before delivery.

What sleeping widths are available for the DOLLY?

The DOLLY offers the widest choice in the catalog with five sleeping widths: 70, 100, 120, 140, and 160 cm. The 70 cm covers a very occasional extra need, the 140 cm remains the standard for two sleepers, and the 160 cm provides real comfort. This range allows the sofa to be precisely fitted to the room and its intended use.
