What type of mattress should I choose for a BZ?

Depending on how you use your BZ sofa bed, you won't need to choose the same mattress material or technology. Indeed, there's no need to invest in a high-end mattress if your BZ is only used as an occasional bed.

• For occasional sleeping : opt for a simple polyester foam mattress.
• For regular sleeping , it is better to move upmarket and look at polyurethane foam mattresses. The support is better than the previous model and it has the advantage of being resistant to time.
• For everyday use , you should consider investing in a high-end mattress. There are several options available: high-resilience foam mattresses , memory foam mattresses, or latex mattresses. The quality of your sleep depends on your comfort and support.

What density should your BZ mattress be?

The density of the mattress you choose, regardless of its technology, must be adapted to the use you make of your sofa bed. The lower the density, the less comfortable the mattress provides. Your body sinks in more and the quality of your night is affected. The range of simple foam mattresses does not exceed 28 kg/m3 , which is sufficient for occasional use . For more regular, or even daily, sleeping , the density must exceed 30 to 35 kg/m3 for a polyurethane or high resilience foam mattress, and more than 60 kg/m3 for a latex mattress. With the latter, your bedding is optimal.
